Kagero - Clan Analysis

Kagero in Japanese means Heat Haze, and a clan full of Lizards, Humans, and Dragons clad in fire. They play to control the flow of the game by retiring, restanding, gaining power and crit, and man other ridiculous ways.

in VG-G-BT01 we had 2 different decklist with 2 different purpose. The first one is a Stride focused deck with Dragonic Blademaster and the Legion focused with Dragonic Overlord, The X which is irrationally stupid and by the time this unit revealed I already foresaw a future filled with him.

Wyvernkid, Ragra is our first forerunner on this set, his skill is on GB1 you can pay CB1 and put him to soul and retire 1 G1 or less RG. eliminating booster on early-mid game is good, but you can induce a field nuke with Dragon Knight, Sadegh coupled up with Blademaster and Stride.
But, in terms of single unit analysis Ragra is one of the best 1-for-1 skill only beaten by Seal Dragon, Terrycloth.

on Trigger Lineup we have Lizard Soldier, Beira that exploit the amazing field control ability of Kagero. at GB1 territory, when opponent's RG put into drp zone due to an effect , you can chose another RG of yours and give it 10k power and return this unit to deck and shuffle the deck.
This is interesting, a returning triggers is usually not worth to be called because the skill it has doesn't offsets the using player minus from losing a 10k shield. But, Beira and many other new Stand Triggers offsets that minus by giving an extra 10k power which means you minus your opponent instead. but how Beira actually fare in battle is rest up on my testing.

Dragon Monk, Gyokuryu also exploit how easy Kagero Stride retire their opponent units. He gain 5k for every retire your deck made on GB1. coupled up with G2 Vanilla / 12k Beater made easy hge numbers.

Lava Flow Dragon is our Blademaster searcher and Stride Fodder, no need to explain this unit again after those explanation on Gear Chronicle's clan analysis.

so do Protect Orb Dragon, our Unflipper PG that already extensively explained (or so i think) on Gear Chronicle's analysis and soon on my Vanguard 101 posts

Flame of Strength, Aetniki also utilize the retire engine of Kagero. When an opponent RG is put to drop zone due to effect. you may put Aetniki to soul and unflip up to 2 damage.
which mean we have more usage of Blademaster, or any of our cheap retire machine to deal more minuses on them.

Dragon Knight, Danners is G2 Version of Dragon Monk, Gyokuryu. with Gyokuryu and Danners coupled up with Blademaster and respective vanillas to cover them, Stride focused Kagero gonna hit huge numbers pretty easily and retire heavy deck.
Bruce Banner meet Lizard-man
Hulk Roar Dragon have very interesting skill, when opponent'sRG is retired, you can pay CB2 to retire another RG! Hulk Roar Dragon make our old CB2 Retire 1 seems outdated. with Hulk Roar Dragon, Twilight Arrow Dragon, and Blademaster. Kagero back to the days when they shut down anything the opponent was trying to do by retiring and controlling the match into their favor.

Twilight Arrow Dragon is our Generic GB1 CB1 on attack VG when boosted [Insert Clan Specific Skill Here] and one of the unit that make retiring so easy on Stride Generation Kagero

Amber Dragon, Eclipse with additional part
Dragonic Blademaster is our Breakstride, and mainly used for his Breakstride and meh GB2 skill.
his Breakstride allow us to retire 1 RG for a CB1. he is also a really good 1-for-1 unit that actually gain us a plus. we Stride by discarding a G3 or Stride Fodder then we retire 1 RG then we gain triple check from G-unit. Dragonic Blademaster currently is epitome of retiring on Vanguard.

Double Perish Dragon is our fail condition in Stride Kagero deck, GB1 CB2 retire 1 and on-ride CB1 SB1 retire a G1 or less. not may things to be spoken of.
Dumbest. Unit. Ever. 2.0
Now, another alteration of well-known Dragonic Overlord.
Dragonic Overlord, The X as i mentioned on the image caption is the second dumbest unit in Vanguard. or he might be the dumbest after all?

  1. He Legion with Dragonic Overlord, The End which is the dumbest card ever on Vanguard
  2. He fetch up his own prerequisites for activating skills by performing legion
  3. He made any decision you made is a stupid move
as I already mentioned, he is DOTE's Legion revival and his Legion skill is when he performed Legion, he fetch himself copy of a card in VG circle. which mean you can fetch yourself a DOTE or DOTX depending on which one you already have in hand.
His second skill is another reason why DOTX is ridiculously good, when his attack not hit you can pay CB1 and discard a copy of DOTX and retire 2 of your opponent RG. Dumb.
Coupled up with DOTE, a hit means a re-stand and a guard means a -2 for your opponent. way. too. good.
S.. Shenlong?
Divine Dragon Knight, Mahmoud and Imperial Flame Dragon King, Route Flare is our G-Unit that make a great combo with Blademaster and Sadegh. with Mahmoud, Sadegh, Blademaster, and Twilight Arrow, you could retire 4 unit for CB2. while with Route Flare, it became complete field nuke for CB2.

Perdition also getting some support, but unfortunately it isn't even worth to mention since Perdition already enjoying good and solid support before.
